When: Sunday, November 24, 2024, 12PM
Where: George Howard Building, 3430 Court House Dr #100, Ellicott City, MD 21043
What: The political forces of Central Maryland are gathering in Ellicott City on November 24 to demand a government that reflects the will of the people, not the interests of the powerful.
Our community has been advocating for Palestine for 14 months, as our government continues to fund the ongoing genocide in Gaza with taxpayer dollars. The people know that the bipartisan political system has failed us, and that no matter who is in the White House, our government will continue to prioritize war, genocide, and corporate profit over the needs of its people.
Speakers will share strategies and visions for what resistance will look like under another Trump presidency, as well as reflect on how the current Biden/Harris administration is already enabling genocide and failing the people of Maryland, Palestine, and the world at large.
Topics will include how Maryland’s economy partners with apartheid Israel [1]; how Project 2025 seeks to attack immigrants, refugees, and the nonprofit organizations that serve them [2]; how the Trump administration will protect Israel’s illegal settlements [3] and international criminal Benjamin Netanyahu [4] while dragging the U.S. into foreign conflict; and how the struggle for Palestinian freedom connects to domestic movements for labor, housing, healthcare, and civil rights.
Who: Community members will gather alongside representatives from–
Howard County for a Free Palestine
Our Revolution Howard County
The Palestinian Youth Movement
The Greater Baltimore Democratic Socialists of America
Maryland 2 Palestine
Maryland Green Party
The Baltimore branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation
