Celebrate Earth Day with Howard EcoWorks, an environmental nonprofit servicing Howard County and the Baltimore Region. Join us for a day of learning, fun activities, and volunteering, while we offer give aways and discounts on native plants!
Seeds of Change Opening: our native plant nursery is opening for the season and for the first time at our Holly Hills location. We’re offering 10% off on orders of $50 or more exclusively at this event!
Native Seed Giveaway: We’re giving away free local ecotype native seeds that will be featured in our activities. These seeds were harvested thanks to a grant provided by Howard County Government.
Volunteer Opportunities: We’re looking for volunteers to help us with forest management and conservation in the wooded areas around Holly Hills property. This is a great way to engage in environmental conservation in your local community in honor of Earth Day!
Educational Activities: We’re offering various activities throughout the day that are friendly for kids and people of all ages.
Registration: Attending this event is free. Registration is not mandatory but it helps us know how many people to prepare for. https://www.howardecoworks.org/event-details/earth-day-with-ecoworks
Bonus: Feel free to bring lunch and picnic on the open fields
What if it rains or bad weather happens? We will not cancel, we will plan to move our educational and volunteer activities indoors. Plant sales for Seeds of Change will still be open.
Parking directions: The driveway is across from Brantly Rd. We will have signs posted. Drive to the end of the road where it curves left, and you will see signs for parking. The activity area will be near the barns.
