Update: Murder Victim Identified in Centre Park Drive Killing

The victim in the homicide discovered on Oct. 12 in Columbia is identified as 26-year-old Kendrick McLellan of Baltimore, and Howard County police are now offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information in the case.

At approximately 2:14 a.m., police making routine area checks in the 8800 block of Centre Park Drive in Columbia located McLellan deceased in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked behind an office building. He had been shot multiple times.

The circumstances of the shooting, including when it occurred, remain unknown. At this point in the investigation, there is no indication that it is connected to the non-fatal shooting later on Oct. 12 nearby.

Possible Murder on Centre Park Drive in Columbia

Howard County police are investigating a suspected homicide after officers located a deceased man in a vehicle overnight in Columbia.

At approximately 2:14 a.m., police making routine area checks in the 8800 block of Centre Park Drive in Columbia located a man with gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle parked behind an office building.

The circumstances of the shooting, including when it occurred, are unknown. The victim, a man in his 20s from Baltimore, will be identified when next of kin has been notified.
