Howard County police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian last night in Jessup.
At approximately 8:07 p.m., a 2011 Audi A4 was traveling eastbound in the 10300 block of Guilford Road when it struck a pedestrian who was walking in the travel portion of the roadway. The driver remained at the scene.
The pedestrian, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Guilford Road was closed between Washington Boulevard and Stayton Drive for approximately two and a half hours overnight. No charges have been filed at this time; the investigation is ongoing.
