The Wilde Lake Village Board is set to meet tonight at 6:30 pm at Slayton House, 10400 Cross Fox Lane in Columbia and via Zoom.
The meeting will begin with the usual Resident Speakout portion where participants are allowed up to three minutes each to voice concerns. The entire segment is allotted 15 minutes.
Under “Order of Business” five topics are scheduled for discussion, including a discussion of voter eligibility in regard to the Wilde Lake Village Board Elections. Ten minutes are set aside for this topic.
Jay and Rizwana Mirza, the owners of the new Grocery Outlet are scheduled to make an appearance to be welcomed by the community.
An update on the status of the Howard Community College Foundation Wilde Lake Scholarship will be presented. Also, Jacqueline Bates, Sponsorship Chair of Wilde Lake Middle School will briefly give a pitch on the importance of supporting the PTSA.
Under “New Business” the Board will discuss its priorities for the consideration by Columbia Association and Howard County Government. Reports will be given by the Wilde Lake representative to the Columbia Association for the following committees: CARES, Education, and Outreach and Engagement Committee.
Other reports will be given by the AC Liaison, Executive Director / Village Manager, and Wilde Lake Village Board Chair.
