Fun Run at cafe columbia brings together fitness gurus from area
It was a pleasant 73 degrees in Columbia on Sunday when walkers and runners gathered at cafe columbia in Columbia, Maryland for the cafe’s first-ever 5K Fall Fun Run. Two laps around Lake Kittamaqundi if running, and one lap if walking.
Stretch2Go, a personal flexibility firm provided free sessions, and led the group in pre-workout stretches prior to the run. The YogaRoots Movement Studio provided group yoga stretches after the run, while refreshments were provided by ZenJoy and cafe columbia.
While cafe columbia is usually closed on Sunday, Fun Run participants were able to experience the rare treat of Sunday service by cafe personnel who opened up the kitchen for food orders.
Approximately 30 people participated in the event, which was sponsored by cafe columbia, Stretch2Go, ZenJoy, Anytime Fitness (Columbia), YogaRoots Movement Studio and Howard Courier.
