Howard County police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Columbia.
At approximately 5:15 p.m., an adult male pedestrian was crossing Cedar Lane in the area of Holland Court when he was struck by a 2013 Hyundai Sonata traveling northbound.
The pedestrian was transported to Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Hyundai, an adult male, remained at the scene. He was not injured.
Cedar Lane at Holland Court was closed for approximately two hours for the investigation.
