UPDATE (Oct. 15): Howard County police are offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information in this non-fatal shooting. Both victims were released from the hospital. Howard County police are investigating a non-fatal shooting on Oct. 12 in Columbia in which two people were injured.
At approximately 9:10 p.m., police responded to the 8800 block of Centre Park Drive where they located two juvenile male victims with gunshot wounds. The victims, a 17- and 16-year old from Elkridge, were transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminarily, detectives believe the shooting occurred in the parking lot of the shopping center. There is no suspect information at this time.
Police do not believe this incident is related to the homicide discovered nearby earlier on Oct. 12.
